A Panda Farm is a farm within a protected area: a structure ideal for hospitality where there is a passionate manager, able to introduce you and engage you in nature, in history, gastronomy and local traditions.
Panda Farm is an initiative led by WWF in Italy, ANAGRITUR (merging Terranostra, Agriturist and Green Tourism, the three major national associations, rural tourism) and the Italian Federation of Parks and Natural Reserves (Federparchi).
The intent is to make the country house located in a national park or regional level or in its immediate vicinity, a central witness, and dissemination of knowledge of the surrounding reality and, more specifically, the environment, history, culture and traditions of the territory.
The project is inspired by the Panda Farm Gites Panda program managed by the WWF in 1994 in France, the French Federation of Parks and Tours ruraux, which are currently involved in about 300 hotels.
